ACE Community Colleges collects personal
information from prospective students in order to process enrolment
applications, manage the enrolments of successful applicants and to comply with
our obligations as a registered training organisation. There is no provision to
opt out of providing personal information where that information is required
for an essential purpose, including any purpose associated with our obligation
to deliver the services we advertise or to comply with relevant laws and
standards. As such, we are unable to accept enrolment applications in which
relevant personal information is withheld. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further details.

information is held securely and disclosed only to trusted third parties for
legitimate reasons.
We are required
under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (NVETR Act) to
disclose personal information we collect about you to the National Vocational
Education and Training (VET) Data Collection held by the National Centre for
Vocational Education Research (NCVER) which has responsibility for collecting,
managing, analysing and communicating research and statistics about the
Australian VET sector. We are also authorised, under the same Act, to disclose
your personal information to relevant state or territory training authorities.

Handling of personal information by government bodies
NCVER will
collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information in accordance the
NVETR Act, Privacy Act 1988 and other relevant laws. Your personal information may be used and
disclosed by NCVER for purposes that include populating authenticated VET
transcripts, facilitating the generation of statistics and research relating to
education (including surveys and data linkage), VET administration and
understanding the VET market.
NCVER is authorised to disclose information to the Australian
Government Department of Employment and Work-place Relations (DEWR),
Commonwealth, State and Territory authorities (that deal with matters relating
to VET) and to VET regulators for purposes including:
• administration
of VET, including program administration, regulation, monitoring and evaluation
• facilitation
of statistics and research relating to education, including surveys and data
linkage
• understanding
VET market operation, for policy, workforce planning and consumer information.
NCVER may also
disclose personal information to persons it engages to conduct research on its
behalf. NCVER will not disclose personal information overseas. Please refer to

DEWR is
authorised by law, including both the Privacy Act and the NVETR Act, to
collect, use and disclose your personal information to fulfil specified
functions and activities. For more information about how DEWR handles your

Personal
information disclosed to a state training authority will be managed by that
authority in accordance with the privacy practices of the relevant state
government. Further information can be obtained by referring to either of the
following: NSW government privacy statement or Queensland government privacy statement.
You may receive
a student survey run by a government department or an NCVER employee, agent,
third-party contractor or another authorised agency. Please note you may opt
out of the survey at the time of being contacted.
Consent to the use and disclosure of personal information
Please note that
enrolment applications cannot proceed until applicants acknowledge that they
have read this notice and accepted that their personal information will be
disclosed in accordance with the organisation’s Privacy Policy
and with its obligations as a registered training organisation.
Where applicants are seeking to benefit from a NSW government
training subsidy, acknowledgment and acceptance of this privacy notice will be
taken to include acknowledgement and acceptance of NSW Department of Education consent
requirements.
